You seriously don’t realize how many products you go through a month until you start collecting them. These are the products I finished up in September and my thoughts on them.
First an overview picture of all of my September empties and then we’ll break it down by category.
First up to, bath and body products:
Caress Evenly Gorgeous Exfoliating Body Wash- Oh. My. Goodness. If you have not tried this body wash then you’re seriously cheating yourself out of a luxurious experience! This is my all time favorite body wash that I come back to time and time again. Not only does it feel wonderful on your skin but the scent is absolutely heavenly.
St. Ives Apricot Body Scrub- This scrub is nice. It’s gentler than a lot of scrubs I’ve used. It exfoliates without risk of injury! LOL! It also has a pleasant scent and is cheap. I got mine at Walmart for $4ish dollars.
Aruba Sunset Body Lotion by Ulta- I wasn’t impressed with the body lotions I’ve used by Ulta. It was okay but it’s unlikely this’ll be a repurchase for me.
Secret Deodorant- I’ve used Secret for years. It’s a good deodorant but lately it doesn’t seem to be working as well as it once did. I’m trying out some other brands. I’ll get back to you on what I am loving soon!
Now, let’s talk hair products:
Not Your Mother’s She’s A Tease Volumizing Hairspray- I like this but it’s definitely a firm hold. I typically reached for it on days I curled my hair and needed staying power.
Suave Almond+Shea Moisturizing Shampoo- It’s a nice shampoo. While I try to go higher end with shampoos and conditioner I sometimes reach for Suave when I’m watching my budget. And I’ll be honest; I like them! Suave is always my go-to if I need to spend less.
Dove Volume Dry Shampoo- This’s a really nice dry shampoo for the price. It soaks up oil, adds texture and doesn’t leave any white residue behind.
Skin Care Empties:
Mary Kay Timewise Moisture Renewing Mask: This mask is FABULUSSSSS!!!! If you suffer from dry skin then you NEED this product in your life. It instantly adds moisture back into your skin. You’ll feel like you have a whole new face after using this. This has been a repurchase for me several times.
Caudalie Deep Cleansing Exfoliator- This exfoliator is gentle enough it doesn’t feel irritating but still gets the job done. I don’t love all Caudalie products because of the strong smell some of them have but this one’s a win.
Mac Cleansing Oil- I love Mac’s Cleansing Oil. It smells delicious and breaks up your makeup so easily. I recently bought a cheaper cleansing oil but if it doesn’t capture my heart like this one by Mac, I’ll be buying it despite the ghastly price tag of $30.
Philosophy Miracle Worker- Just a sample I received this month. I didn’t get to use it long but did want to throw it in to say that Philosophy does have amazing skincare products.
Lastly, Caudalie Vinoeffect Serum- This was okay. My skin was soft after using and it wasn’t heavily scented like I mentioned some products can be by Caudalie.
And finally, makeup empties (and a couple random items):
Let’s work our way left to right, shall we?
First up is the It Cosmetics CC Cream- When I first bought this, I didn’t like it at all. It wasn’t full coverage and it was very ‘wet’, for lack of a better word. As I used it, I began to warm up to it and the luminous, glowy finish but I have to say, it’s not a favorite.
Then, do you see that little sampler card of Too Faced Bronzer samples? It Stole. My. Heart! I’ve LONG wanted to find a bronzer I could use but thanks to my very porcelain skin, that was a rather difficult task. When I tried the Too Faced Bronzer in Milk Chocolate it was like the heavens sang! I had found my bronzer. So I put it on my makeup wish list and have since bought it!
Next, Maybelline Last Sensational in the BLACK tube- This mascara is BOMB! As in rarely ever have I found a mascara I love as much as this one. I’d been hooked on the pink Lash Sensational for over a year and then I decided to break out of my comfort zone and give this one a whirl. And I’m so glad I did. I’m VERY passionate about having the ‘right’ mascara (a.k.a. one that is bold, black and dramatically defining and volumizing) and this one certainly met my standards.
I also had a lipstick sample by Givenchy in Rose Dressing. The color was a little too bold for me but I liked the creamy formula.
Glide Pro Health Floss- I liked this because it was flat and easily slid in tight spots when flossing.
Swisspers Cotton Rounds- These are wonderful for so many things… removing makeup or nail polish, applying toner, etc. The main reason I put them in was to tell you that while they sell for over 2 dollars each but you can get a 3-pack for around 5 at Walmart, so it’s a good savings option.
Essie Beyond Cozy- This glittery, glitzy nail polish is great to use around the holidays as an accent nail or if you’re feeling brave, a full on manicure.
Rimmel Stay Matte Translucent Powder- If you want a matte finish, go for this. I do like it but it’s almost too mattifying for me. I like a little bit of glow to shine through. If you have oily skin, it’s the perfect choice. It’s also super cheap at around $4.
There you have it! My full September empties. I hope it’s been helpful to you. I’d love to hear what products you’ve been using lately. Comments open below. 🙂
