A Review: Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation

Hello my Lovelies!

I’ve been searching for a good quality foundation for awhile.  I usually keep a few in rotation but didn’t have one that truly stole my heart.  I’ve been using Mary Kay Luminous Foundation for a long while and while I liked it, I felt like there was better out there.

I’ve heard so much about Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Foundation that I decided to try it out.  Anna Saccone and Sam Schuerman both sing it’s praises and my sister has devotedly wore only this foundation for 12 years.  Now that’s foundation loyalty, people!  I ordered a bottle in Cool Bone, the lightest shade in a cool tone.

And what did I think?  It’s pretty fabulous, ladies.  It gives you full coverage and literally stays on ALL day long.  I can do my makeup at 7 am and won’t need a powder touch up until 5 or 6.  It looks really nice on my skin and doesn’t seem to settle into fine lines or wrinkles as much as some other foundations I’ve tried.  But there’s one thing about it that I love more than any other.  It’s like a glue for my other makeup!  I’m not kidding!  It makes the rest of my makeup look absolutely amazing.  I could not believe how well it holds my other makeup in place.  My under eye concealer isn’t going anywhere when I’m wearing Estee Lauder Double Wear.  It’s almost as if it has a built in primer.  This feature alone will keep me repurchasing this foundation.

Here’re some pictures of me wearing it.  I took some front shots and one from the side to give you a good idea of how it looks.  It does seem just a little too dark for me even though I ordered the lightest shade but this’s not an uncommon problem for me to have.  My skin is very fair.  Anyways, on with the photos:

If you’re looking for a foundation that stays put and holds your makeup in place, I highly suggest giving Estee Lauder Double Wear a try!
