*3* Ingredient Breakfast Bars

I love when I can feed my family healthy, nutritious meals.  I love it even more when they actually like those meals.  This is one that they gobble up every time I make it.

This was actually a cookie recipe that I heard Sam Schuerman share on one of her family vlog videos.  BUT, I thought, it’s relatively healthy so why not turn it into a breakfast bar?  It’s an improvement over Poptarts and other chemically laden options.  It’s also super easy and I almost always have these ingredients on hand.

So, let’s get on with the recipe, shall we?

 

Ingredients:

2 cups Quick Oats

3 smashed bananas

1/2 cup chocolate chips (more if I’m feeling YOLO)

 

Instructions:

Mash bananas and combine ingredients.  Stir a bit with a spoon and then finish combining ingredients by mixing together with your hands.  (I don’t know a better way to explain this- sorry.)

Press into pan and bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes.  Watch closely.  This is the bar after baking.  (Ignore missing corner.  Had to “taste-test”)

Yummy served with coffee or milk.  Or a mix of both, like I prefer!
